Important Red Hat News.

Our meeting to decide the future of our Chapter went really well. Our ladies voted as one to leave the offical Society and to keep ourselves as a private group.

Well done Ladies.The Membership for the Chapter runs out in Feb 2009.

We will do everything as we have always done, no changes just the same ladies having fun.

Our Christmas Lunch is on 15th December at The Westborne Pub, hopefully lots of you will make it a great afternoon.

Jacket Potato Lunch

16 ladies had a most enjoyable lunch at Sylvia's, it was a friendly get together as we squashed around the tables in the conservatory. Once again thank for inviting us into your home.

As I was on my holidays, I missed the first time back at Haskins after the summer break, but I was informed that 9 ladies made it and that a good time was had, even if the prices had gone up.

Once again, I must say sorry for being so tardy in keeping the web page up to date, fingers crossed I'm back on form.

Please remember the change of plans on 13th Nov, its now a pub lunch, also that the 10 Pin Bowling is on the 6th Nov, more information from Jean Brewin.

Our Annual Picnic at Upton.

Well this year the weather was kind to us and we sat in glorious sunshine at Upton House for our picnic.

It was lovely to see Chris and her ladies from The Jerassic Babes and to welcome 4 new ladies to The Scarlet Belles, I hope they felt welcome, it was very informal and as there were so many of us, it's hard to have a good chat.

Next on the agenda is the cream tea at my home, so I hope to see as many of you as can make it.

How many of you noticed that one of our ladies had had her eyebrows tattooed?. If she isn't jumping out of a plane or abseilling down a steep wall, she finds something else to amaze us with.

Sing a Long

Another afternoon of fun at the Regents Theatre where we had a great time remembering the good old days.

Lots of singing to songs that won the war at the "We'll Meet Again " show, waving of flags and some of our Ladies got to their feet for "There'll always be an England", well done girls.

Don't forget we are off to Weymouth in May, looking forward to another good day out.

Ladies and Tea Parties

The Ladies who were able to attend the tea party given by the Fareham Scarlet Fedoras had a wonderful time on Friday. This was to celebrate the 10th Anniversery of Red Hatting, and did those Ladies Know how to give a party.

73 of us from the Red Hat Society went to an old fashion tea party with tiny sanwiches, cream cakes, trifles and a slice of birthday cake made by Lorna. The hall was beautifully decorated and even husbands were roped in to help, well done to them too.

Gathering of Queens

Sylvia and I had a good weekend in Southampton, meeting lots of lovely ladies, putting faces to emails.
Some of the things discussed was insurance, what did we get from Red Hat headquarters for our money, and a gathering for next year. More on these items at a later date.

Our Annual Lunch

Another lovely lunch with 16 Ladies having fun. There was alot of chat going on, with lots of subjects being talked about too, this is what it's all about ladies, well done.

I for one enjoyed my lunch and I think most of you did, if not all of you.

Our next "tea and chat" is on 9th April,then the theatre at the Regents, Christchurch on 28th April meeting at 2pm. Any information on that to Maureen Winn please.

We've got it together at last !!.

It was a good meeting on the 5th March, and we at long last managed to get a programme together. It is a varied one which is always interesting, well done Ladies for your imput.
